Senior Wordpress Developer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience working with WordPress, having built and customized a wide range of websites. This role requires deep expertise in custom WordPress theme development as well as experience with popular page builders like Elementor and Divi.

The role is remote, but strong written English is essential, as you’ll need to communicate clearly with the team and document your work effectively.

Responsibilities

- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, both fully custom themes and builder-based solutions (Elementor, Divi, etc.)
- Optimize WordPress performance, security, and scalability
- Work with designers to translate Figma/Adobe XD designs into pixel-perfect WordPress sites
- Develop and customize plugins as needed
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across multiple WordPress projects
- Implement best practices for SEO, accessibility, and responsive design
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code
- Communicate progress and collaborate effectively with the team

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing WordPress websites
- Proven experience working with both custom WordPress themes and page builders like Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, etc.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress APIs
- Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and custom post types
- Familiarity with WooCommerce and WordPress multisite setups
- Ability to optimize WordPress for speed and security
- Experience with Git version control
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Fluent written English – clear and effective communication is essential
