We're seeking for a talented Robotics Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. Our partners are leading logistics automation provider based in the Netherlands, specializing in cutting-edge warehouse solutions. If you're passionate about developing innovative software for advanced robotic systems and want to contribute to the future of logistics, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement the software stack for AGV/AMR solutions using ROS2.
Work on motion planning, path-following, localization using external guidance (e.g., markers, optical guidance), and control algorithms.
Integrate with a Fleet Management System that would control the AGVs/AMRs and IoT infrastructure.
Develop real-time, Linux-based robotic applications using C++ and/or Python.
Collaborate closely with a distributed team (software developers, mechanical engineers, and business/product stakeholders) across Moldova and the Netherlands.
Participate in architectural decisions, advocate for best practices, and propose technical solutions.
Ensure high-quality software through code reviews, testing, and performance optimization.
Communicate directly with the client, gathering requirements and aligning development efforts with business needs.
Conduct onsite testing and debugging in the Netherlands as needed.
Who we’re looking for:
Experience in robotics software development or embedded systems.
Strong knowledge of ROS2, including navigation, sensor integration, and communication protocols.
Proficiency in C++ and/or Python.
Experience with Linux-based development and real-time computing.
Solid understanding of robot kinematics, control systems, and localization techniques using external guidance (e.g., markers, QR codes, magnetic/optical guidance).
Knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, or low-level hardware integration is a plus.
Ability to work independently, make decisions, and take ownership of the development process.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to interact directly with stakeholders and clients.
What is it in for you?
Private health insurance
Sports compensation for gym memberships or online sports subscriptions
Flexible schedule
Education budget for Certifications, Courses, Training and Conferences (a part of the education budget can be spent on gadgets, that stay yours)
Books budget
5 pm Club – a concept developed by ISD to offer 1-hour every week for self-development, development of your ideas and/or presentations to the team to improve public speaking skills.
